If you are thinking about moving to Durham and you’ve done any research you know that the city normally votes overwhelmingly for progressive candidates. It’s no surprise to me that the more progressive and inclusive the city has become in the last thirty-some years the more it has prospered. If you think that Durham is cool just because of the foodie or arts scenes, don’t be fooled. There is a true commitment by most of our citizens to inclusiveness and tolerance.
This letter from the City Council to Durham’s citizens demonstrates that commitment.
There is a good chance that this letter from our City Council appears in the Herald-Sun as well as the News and Observer but the Herald-Sun does not normally let you see the whole think online unless you are a subscriber.
